We are KNOWLEDGE LAB. Since 2016, we’ve been creating bespoke digital solutions for the banking world, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with technology. We have ambitious plans, and this is your chance not just to be part of our journey, but to actively shape our future projects with your expertise.
As a Platform Engineer, you will collaborate closely with our development and operations teams to design, implement, and optimize cloud and container platforms. In a dynamic and agile environment, you will manage and develop cloud infrastructure on Azure, AWS, and Kubernetes-based environments like OpenShift. We emphasize a cloud-agnostic approach using open-source tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, and Pulumi. If you have experience with Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and Identity and Access Management (IAM), you’ll contribute to shaping our security and access frameworks.
Your Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage cross-cloud solutions on Azure and AWS
- Administer Kubernetes clusters and platforms like OpenShift
- Leverage open-source IaC tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi) to enable a cloud-agnostic infrastructure
- Automate platform deployments and updates using CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitLab CI/CD
- (Optional) Implement and manage WAF and IAM for enhanced security and access control
- Monitor and fine-tune cloud infrastructure for optimal performance, availability, and scalability
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards across cloud environments
- Contribute to troubleshooting and performance optimization
- Document architectural decisions and platform best practices
Your Profile:
- Proven experience with Azure and AWS cloud services, particularly in deploying and managing infrastructure
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and OpenShift for containerized deployments
- Proficiency with open-source IaC tools (Ansible, Terraform, Pulumi) and CI/CD automation (preferably GitLab CI/CD)
- (Optional) Experience with WAF and/or IAM for application security is an advantage
- Familiarity with network security and cloud firewall configurations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Agile working experience (Scrum, Kanban) is a plus
- Excellent English communication skills and ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams, German would be an advantage
In a Nutshell: You show initiative and a strong sense of responsibility, tackle tasks, and get support where you need it. Furthermore, you'll work with a great team and benefit from generous perks such as:
- 30 days of vacation per year as standard for all our staff
- Excellent opportunities for growth and personal development
- Part-time models and hybrid work culture
- State-of-the-art hardware and infrastructure
